Hello! Today we're starting on our new unit: Design and Modeling. We'll continue with this unit through the end of the school year.

The broad overview of this unit: Given a challenge, you will create a design; build your design; test your design; redesign; retest. There will be at least 3 different challenges.

Each challenge will be completed in 6 different steps, each of which will be turned in for a grade:

1 - Design: You will need to design the challenge within specific constraints and criteria either on paper or using a CAD program of your choice.

2 - Build: You will need to build your design within the constraints and criteria.

3 - Test: You will need to test your design, recording data of several trials.

4 - Redesign: You will need to redesign your machine even if it meets the minimum constraints and criteria in order to maximize its outcomes.

5 - Retest: You will need to test you redesign and record data of several trials to prove your redesign is better then the original (or worse, as might happen).

6 - Repeat steps 4 and 5 for more data one more time.

All assignments will be turned using Microsoft Teams and will be due each Friday.
