Well, I'd say our second meeting last Friday was a huge success! We had 61 kids total, with 24 working with FTC and 37 working with FLL! Looks like we'll be running 2 FTC teams and 6 FLL teams.
A big shout-out to the parents and high school mentors that helped on Friday! Because of you, the FLL teams were able to stay focused, allowing them to get a good start on their tasks. With all these future engineers, scientists, and problem solvers in one place, we really need more parent mentors and volunteers. Please visit our mentor/volunteer sign-up sheet and try to commit to a 2-hour slot once or twice a month. Additionally, we need more parents to donate healthy snacks and drinks for the kids. Those donations can also be scheduled on our mentor/volunteer page.
As mentioned in a previous blog, while signing up for the club you were asked which additional day of the week would work best for parents, guardians, and kids. An overwhelming number choose Monday. So, our additional meeting day is Monday's from 3:00 - 5:00 at BLMS room A2.
Lastly, the deadline for club sign-up is tonight at midnight (Sunday October 6th). The sign-up sheet will no longer be accessible after that time. If you have not signed up, please do so before the deadline.
